Activity

• Accommodation pick-up at 7:30-8:00 am. (Pick up is available within Chiang Mai City)
• Drive about 1.5 hours to the southern mountains of Chiang Mai.
• Stop at the local market before arriving at Le Cher.
• Learn about the history and behaviour of Asian elephants in Thailand with a discussion on elephant care and ethics.
• Spend time getting to know our elephants and feeding them organic foods
• Hike with elephants through the jungle, observing them finding food and natural behaviours.
• Local Thai and Karen lunch.
• Make natural herb balls for elephants to eat.
• Enjoy watching elephants playing and spending time in the river. You can observe or join the elephants also.
• Relax around the accommodation (homestay & tents), swim in the river or play by the waterfall.
• Learn how to cook local Thai and Karen dishes, make your own dinner.
• Enjoy dinner around the campfire with our team under the stars.
• Have a good night's rest surrounded by the sounds of nature.
• Breakfast and coffee is served around 8:30 am.
• Spend a short time with the elephants to take pictures and say goodbye.
• We will visit the local Karen village to learn about their way of living.
• You will leave for Chiang Mai around 12:00 pm.

The trip includes transportation, lunch, bottled water, complimentary photos of your experience with the elephants and accident insurance.

Please come equipped with a T-shirt, long pants, extra clothes, sandals or thongs, camera, sunscreen lotion, insect repellent spray, swimming suit, face towel, hiking shoes.
